Manage your HugoFox dashboard in one place

Your HugoFox dashboard gathers every site-building task under one login, so you can publish pages, share updates and handle payments without touching code. The sidebar shows only the tools included in your plan, keeping the workspace clean and simple.

1 Manage website pages

In Website you can:

  1. Add new pages or Add sub-pages to build clear navigation.
  2. Drag pages up or down to reorder them. Tip: click anywhere that isn’t a button, then drag a page slightly to the right beneath another page to nest it—turning it into a sub-page. Drag a sub-page back to the left to promote it to a full page/heading. You can repeat the nesting step to create sub-sections of sub-sections.
  3. Insert into Members Area – once the Members Area (see Members Area article) is activated on Silver and Gold plans, it appears as its own heading in the page list. You can drag any number of pages under that heading to protect them—there’s no limit.
  4. Preview drafts - click the grey magnifying glass to preview your site without custom colours, and the yellow magnifying glass to view your site with custom colours. Tip: The yellow magnifyiing glass only appears once you have saved custom modifications for your site on your website (customise) page.
  5. Switch pages between Live and Not live by clicking the green tick which will then turn into a red cross, or Delete items you no longer need by clicking the grey bin. 

2 Customise your site design

Open Website (Customise) to pick a layout and set colours for headers, backgrounds and buttons. You can also choose the font, size and colour for headings and body text, with every change updating instantly in the preview.

3 Publish news & events

News – Create articles with a title, image, author, keywords, location and a text area for the story.
Events – Add the event title, start and end date and time, entrance fee or tick Free, pricing details, external booking URL, location, contact details, a description, flyers or posters and up to ten captioned images. After publishing you can Renew, Clone, Delete, View statistics or Preview each listing.

4 Post jobs & offers

Jobs – Specify the job type, set full-time, part-time or work-from-home, enter salary details, a closing date, application URL, location and contact details. Attach application forms, job descriptions and company overview documents.
Offers – Enter the title, start and end dates, regular price and offer price, categories, a claim URL, offer location, contact details, description and up to ten captioned images or flyers.

5 Control the Members Area

The Members Area (Silver and Gold plans) lets you restrict content to approved users. Drag pages into the list to secure them, add members individually or bulk-import email addresses, set each member to Live or Disabled, and see at a glance whether they have set a password (tick / cross). You can Delete, Disable, Enable, Resend password setup email or Export the list (CSV).

6 View statistics & insights

The Statistics page shows:

  • Monthly visitor numbers for your website pages.
  • Counts of pages you have created.
  • Silver and Gold only: counts for news, events, jobs and offers, plus advanced visitor statistics.
    A status label marks items Live or Not live, helping you tidy outdated content quickly.

7 Keep account details & payments up to date

Profile – Edit your name, location, domain name (if used), address, additional information, contact details, logo or profile picture, header image and contact-permission settings.
Payment – View past payments and choose monthly credit-card billing, monthly Direct Debit or annual Direct Debit. Parish councils can set up a .gov.uk domain and purchase email accounts here, and there is a Contact us button for billing help.
Change password – Update your HugoFox password at any time by entering the current password and the new one twice.

8 Add optional tools & settings

  • Planning applications – For Silver and Gold Parish Councils you are able to write an introduction or use the preset text, enter your parish name and choose a button colour for the planning tracker. The planning tracker updates automatically with all of the latest planning applications in your Parish, displaying them on your website for all local residents to easily access.
  • Opening hours – Publish regular hours, add or remove breaks, set holiday closures, mark special openings and include extra notes.
  • Social – Paste the URL for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, Vimeo or YouTube to link your profiles.
  • Users – Add or remove users, assign a Content editor to selected pages or give full control to an Account manager.
  • Google Analytics – Paste your tracking ID to monitor traffic.
  • Google Search – Enter a Google Custom Search ID to add on-site search.
  • Privacy policy – Replace the default notice with your own text.
