Add social media links to your HugoFox site
Adding your Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn or Flickr pages to your HugoFox website lets visitors connect with you on the channels they already use. It’s a quick win for boosting engagement—people can explore your posts, share your updates and get a feel for what your organisation stands for.
1 Why connect your social media
Linking your social accounts means visitors can follow you in a single click, extending your reach beyond your website. It also builds trust: seeing regular posts assures people you’re active and transparent.
Tip: Post upcoming events on social media, then add the event to your HugoFox calendar for a seamless loop back to your site (Events module).
2 Platforms HugoFox supports
HugoFox currently recognises the big four—Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Flickr—plus Instagram and YouTube. Paste any valid profile URL and HugoFox automatically shows the correct icon, saving you from hunting for logos or worrying about brand-colour compliance.
Note: If you use a newer network, link to it with a standard button until native support is announced (Product updates).
3 Adding icons to your footer
-
Open My account → Social.
-
Paste each profile URL into its field.
-
Click Save. Icons appear instantly.
If you prefer a bespoke page of links—handy for charities with multiple Facebook groups—create a basic “Connect with us” page and drop the URLs into a bulleted list.
Conclusion
Adding social media links turns your HugoFox website into a hub that funnels visitors straight to your buzzing online communities—boosting reach, trust and interaction without costing you a penny.
