Create and manage offers on your HugoFox site
Special offers are a proven way for parish councils, clubs, charities and small businesses to boost engagement and generate income. On HugoFox you can publish a dedicated, search‑optimised offer page in a few easy steps, complete with pricing, images and performance stats. Follow this guide to master every part of the process.
1 Access your offers hub
You’ll find Offers in the left‑hand menu of your HugoFox dashboard ([Dashboard overview]). The Offers page lists every deal you’ve created, so you can see at a glance what’s live, scheduled or still in draft. Action icons sit to the right of each title—Edit, Clone, Delete and Preview—so managing content takes a single click.
2 Understand offer statuses
Each offer carries one of four statuses:
-
Active – visible on your website right now.
-
On hold – set to go live on a future date.
-
Expired – automatically removed after the end date passes.
-
Draft – not visible and still in progress. Tip – Use the filter buttons at the top of the list to focus on drafts or upcoming deals.
3 Enter core offer details
Click Add offer (top right) to open the editor, then complete the Details tab:
-
Offer title – keep it short and enticing (e.g. “Family rail pass – 50 % off”).
-
Start date & time and End date & time – the page hides itself once it expires.
-
Regular price and Offer price – enter “0” if the offer is free. Important – These fields are mandatory; incomplete details prevent the offer from saving.
4 Provide contact info and a description
-
Contact details – add phone, email or both so visitors can reach you quickly.
-
Description – explain why the offer is unmissable; bullet points work well for inclusions or restrictions.
5 Set the location and upload promotional files
-
Location – start typing a postcode or venue name and select from the drop‑down.
-
Flyer and Poster – upload PDF or image files (maximum 10 MB each).
Alt text: “A4 flyer promoting spring gardening offer”.
6 Choose up to two categories
In Categories tick a maximum of two boxes that best match what you’re promoting, such as Days Out or DIY & Tools. Accurate tagging helps your deal surface in HugoFox search results.
Note – Picking more than two categories isn’t allowed, so choose the most relevant options.
7 Add an external sales link
If the same deal is available elsewhere, paste the URL into External link and tick Open in new tab. Visitors will see a button labelled View deal – click this link.
8 Add and reorder images
Upload up to 10 photos, each with an optional caption. Drag‑and‑drop thumbnails to rearrange them.
Tip – Lifestyle shots showing the product in use tend to convert better than plain pack shots.
9 Save and manage your offer
Click Publish in the top‑right corner. Your new deal appears in the Offers list, ready for further edits or cloning. You can change status at any time using the drop‑down beside each entry or archive it entirely with Delete.
10 Monitor offer performance
Silver and Gold customers unlock the Statistics tab. Here you can see how many views and unique users each offer receives each day. Use these insights to fine‑tune titles, imagery and timing for greater engagement ([Using site statistics]).
Conclusion
Well‑timed, clearly presented offers can turn browsing visitors into loyal customers—and with HugoFox it’s simple, secure and completely free.
